Summer is Coming
One of the unforgettable phrases from the hit series, Game of Thrones, was “Winter is Coming”.
Let’s turn that on its head and have our catch phrase as “Summer is Coming”.
That certainly spins my wheels a lot more than its winter counterpart.
We (well, at least I do) grizzle and complain about winter, feeling as if it will never end. Then suddenly it is mid-September and only a few weeks away from getting busy again in October.
Have all the jobs tagged for attention over winter been done? You know, the ones where there will be plenty of time over winter to complete. I think you know the answer to that!
Spring is coming, and then Summer is coming. And soon.
So, what does that mean?
It means the birds will be busy singing and finding mates.
Trees and plants will be budding up, with some bursting into early flower.
The days will get warmer and longer (bring that on!), and the river will beckon.
The Stables herd of horses will come home from winter grazing and start the process of getting back into work.
There will be the high-pitched bleat of lambs echoing around the valleys.
Summer staff will return from their northern hemisphere adventures.
And it is time for you to plan your summer escapes.

The Valley blossoming in Spring

River Valley Options for You
As Spring warms up, the adventures we offer increase in number.
First, there will be the day and part-day rafting and cycling trips. These are from September.
Next up, day and part-day horse treks from November, as well as lodge-based horse-riding holidays.
Multi-day river and cycle trips also come online in November. In fact, by the end of November, our full range of activities will be available.
Lots to do, and some planning is required for a River Valley adventure.
Summer is coming!
Hoping to see you
