- As of the 1st September 2020 we will be open on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights for accommodation and meals only – please get in touch directly to book.
- From 1st October 2020 we will be open 7 days a week and all our activities will be operating. You can book everything through our website for dates from 1st October onwards.

We are an Adventure Lodge. We highly value getting out on both the river and land, exploring, experiencing, normally by raft or horseback .
On the other hand, if being outside cell phone reception for more than a few minutes is a major issue, or where shopping is a an essential part of your day – then DO NOT COME TO RIVER VALLEY!

A Stay & Play package is the perfect way to experience some of the best things River Valley has to offer. If you are wanting to stay at River Valley and try one of our adventure activities then this is the package for you. Choose from deluxe or bunk accommodation, then choose from one of 5 adventure activities. All meals included.
Season: All year round. Some activities have seasonal restrictions.
Two Days and Two Nights of adrenaline packed adventure. Grade 5 rafting or scenic rafting, horse back riding, great food, lodge guest room accommodation.
Season: 16th September to 31st May
Are pets allowed at the lodge?
We do not allow guests to bring pets (with the exception of service animals).
Is the lodge near to town?
We are located approximately 32KM from the nearest town of Taihape. Please see our ‘getting to us‘ page for full directions and a map. We recommend stocking up on any food and petrol you may need, before you drive out to the lodge.
Is linen provided in the rooms?
Linen is provided in all our rooms. Towels are provided in our deluxe ensuite rooms, but not in our shared bunk rooms (but are available to hire from reception).
Are there cooking facilities at the lodge for guests?
Our restaurant serves delicious, home made, food made with fresh ingredients from our on-site gardens. Pre-booking is essential for dinner. We also have accommodation packages including meals. If you would prefer to cook for yourself then we have a communal guest kitchen for all guests to use.
