What would be the PERFECT Reunion Venue?
Do you believe that reunions are supposed to be special occasions where you get together with old friends, get reaquainted with family members who you seldom see, and where you both tell your stories and listen to everyone elses stories?
These are special occasions, and at River Valley we recognise that.
However the problem is often the amount of organisation required. You want to spend the time catching up and having fun together, not worrying about food or activities to keep everybody occupied.
We can help you make these occasions a great success.
As part of our development of the River Valley experience, we are inviting you to hold your next get together at the Lodge.

You won't need to worry about all the details
You won't need to worry about all the details as our experienced and friendly staff will look after this for you. This leaves you free to do what you came to River Valley for, and that is in all likelihood having fun with family or friends.
Meals
Meals can range from traditional country style roasts, to gourmet BBQs.
Much of the produce is grown fresh in the Lodge's own organic vegetable garden.
Accommodation Options
The range of accommodation styles available at River Valley, means that you can mix and match what preferences. For instance, older children will have a lot of fun staying in a bunk room, while their parents enjoy somewhat more luxury in a deluxe guest room.
Adventure Activity Add Ons
When you are planning your reunion, we encourage you to book an adventure activity at the same time. There are very few things more relaxing than a Scenic Rafting trip, and very few things more exciting that a Grade 5 Rafting trip!
The variety of horse riding options that River Valley Stables offers means that everyone from children on a short pony ride, to seasoned riders can find a trek that suits.

We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing setting that suited all our needs with the age range from 5 months to 80 years!

We had such a wonderful weekend at River Valley - everyone is still buzzing, especially Mum and Dad. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing setting that suited all our needs with the age range from 5 months to 80 years! And the weather was pretty kind too.
Thanks for keeping the secret, although Nicola nearly let it out before the great grandparents and grandma had met Mia!
Please thank the chefs and your international team of helpers. What a great way for them to see a beautiful part of NZ. The lunch, breakfast and 3-course dinner were just right, very tasty and well-presented. The new wall colour in the dining area added warm ambience and we appreciate the effort you made Nicola.
Thanks also to Shane and JJ in particular who helped with everything and met every need.The rooms were up-market, comfortable and warm too. (A wee suggestion might be to add a shelf beside or above the handbasins for a toilet bag - the floor can be a bit wet after the showers.)
We enjoyed the time during the day to browse through old photos, catch up on travels, play Crib and just chatter and do our own thing. Our card game, Mission, that we played in the evening was a lot of fun as usual. It was great to be able to have an environment to maintain these family traditions. Our Scrabble and Pictionary were borrowed by other young ones staying there so may be a future investment for you too.
We are all impressed with what River Valley has to offer and will recommend your place to others and hopefully be back in the warmer weather to partake in some of the adventures you offer.
Once again heartfelt thanks for a very special weekend that we will all remember.

Lots of laughs and Noise
Many thanks to your team at river valley. We all had a great night on Saturday. A long time since some of the cousins had met, so lots of laughs and noise.
A shame the weather didn't behave, but it is winter and the lodge was lovely and warm.
